Measurement and Alignment Systems
Measuring and alignment systems for compation and machining processes
The use of reference clamping systems for machining processes and the pressing of metal and ceramic powders result in a significant increase in productivity and quality. At the same time, the demands on tool, press and adapter accuracy and on the accuracy of the alignment of reference clamping systems to each other are increasing.
A range of measuring and alignment systems guarantees increased accuracy requirements and easy access to pressing and machining processes with reference clamping systems.
PAS-3i Palletization Alignment System
PAS-3i

High-precision electronic measurement technology
The signals from the high-precision electronic sensors are digitized and evaluated by the software and calculated with the current position data to create a new target position.
Intelligent measuring concept
Automatic compensation of the shape and position tolerances of the tools to be moved.
User-friendly software
Intuitive menu-guided operation enables simple graphical display of tool measurement and alignment results.
Palletizing and positioning of compaction tools - Punch and die

The PAS-3i system is used for the high-precision alignment of punches and dies on pallets of reference clamping systems.
Modern production concepts manufacture punches and dies directly on pallets of reference clamping systems.
It is often necessary to align punches and dies on pallets. This is the case when existing non-palletized tools (legacy tools) are to be positioned on pallets for the first time, or when the position of newly produced tools in relation to the pallet is to be corrected. Another important application arises from the need to position wire-cut punches that cannot be produced on the pallet in the wire-cutting process.
The PAS-3i system moves the tool to the target position according to the position deviations DX, DY and DC (DX=DY=DC=0). The position deviations are measured in relation to the reference clamping system on a coordinate measuring machine CMM. Deviations of the die position in relation to the reference clamping system van be included in the target position of the punch.

Adapted measuring and displacement devices enable fast and precise translational and rotational displacement in the range of 1/10 µm or 1 angular second. The alignment and fixing process can thus be reduced to a few minutes.
Highest precision combined with the simplest user interface enables fast and best possible alignment of punches and dies on pallets of reference clamping systems.
The PAS-3i supports all reference clamping systems available on the market.
